Lil Thunder Hockey Program
The Lil Thunder Intro to Hockey Program is the best way for your child to learn the basic foundational skills necessary for the sport of ice hockey; skating, stickhandling, passing, & shooting in a structured 6-8 week course.
The Lil Thunder Intro to Hockey Program is available for girls & boys ages 4 & up, with or without previous skating instruction.*
*Participants must be able to skate independently without assistance. If that skill has not yet been met we encourage Learn to Skate Snowplow or Basic 1 registration for a more successful experience prior to Lil Thunder registration.

Fall 24 Hockey Camps & Clinics
Wichita Ice Center Hockey Camp
This camp is open to those at the 14U level down to 8U skaters. Participants will receive coaching from experienced instructors who emphasize both individual skill development and team play. Throughout the camp, participants will engage in a variety of drills, on-ice activities, and scrimmages to improve their skating, shooting, passing, and game awareness. The camp's structured program ensures a balance between skill development, fun, and competition, fostering a supportive and motivating environment. Youth 3 on 3 Tournament
Throughout the year the Wichita Ice Center hosts 3 on 3 hockey tournaments, usually around the holidays. Our 3 on 3 tournaments are a cross ice round robin format where we fill multiple teams and have a great time on the ice. Full gear is required, pullovers will be provided for team colors. If you have any questions, please reach out to our hockey director for more information!
Learn from the pro's! With over 20 years of combined professional hockey and coaching, Travis Clayton and Sean O'Reilly, are hosting this pre-season tune up camp. 4 days worth of intensive on ice training. Held in two separate sessions, this camp is open to 12U and below, and 14U & HS aged players. Family Discounts available.

Youth Skills & Drills - $10
Skills & Drills is a great place to work on hockey skills with the help of our hockey instructors. With coaches from various different hockey backgrounds you are sure to have a great session and learn something new. If there are specific skills you'd like to work on just let us know and we can come up with lessons working on those skills.
Equipment Required: Full Gear *18 yrs and under MUST wear a full shield or you will not be allowed on the ice. No Exceptions*
Stick & Puck - Daytime - $7 Nights/Weekends - $10 | Goalies - $5
Stick & Puck is open to all ages and skill levels. Whether it be skating or shooting, this is the perfect time to work on individual drills or have a friend come out and work together.
Equipment Required: Helmet, Gloves, Skates, Stick *18 yrs and under MUST wear a full gear with a full face cage. No Exceptions*
Youth Hockey Season
The youth hockey season is organized by the Wichita Youth Hockey Association (WYHA). The season usually runs from October through March with a mix of practices and games. Information about their association can be found on their website at www.wyhajrthunder.com
