Lil Thunder Hockey Program
The Lil Thunder Intro to Hockey Program is the best way for your child to learn the basic foundational skills necessary for the sport of ice hockey; skating, stickhandling, passing, and shooting in a structured course.
The Lil Thunder Intro to Hockey Program is available for girls & boys ages 4 and older, with or without previous skating instruction.
Participants must be able to skate independently without assistance. If that skill has not yet been met we encourage Learn to Skate Snowplow or Basic 1 registration for a more successful experience prior to Lil Thunder registration. Summer Skills Development
The goal of our summer skill development classes are to get players out on the ice, and working on a variety of different skills, with our coaches over the summer. By the end of the session, skaters should have worked on stick handling, shooting, passing, body contact, balance, edgework, and more.
Our 6p-7p session is open to ages 13 and below
Our 7:15p-8:15p session is open to ages 14 and above
*June 16th & 23rd will start 30 minutes later for both sessions*

Open Hockey
Youth Skills & Drills
Skills & Drills is a great place to work on hockey skills with the help of our hockey instructors. With coaches from various different hockey backgrounds you are sure to have a great session and learn something new. If there are specific skills you'd like to work on just let us know and we can come up with lessons working on those skills. Fee is $10 per session.
Equipment Required: Full gear, 18 and under must wear a full shield or will not be allowed on the ice.
Stick & Puck
Stick & Puck is open to all ages and skill levels. Whether it be skating or shooting, this is the perfect time to work on individual drills or have a friend come out and work together. Fee is $7/daytime, $10/nights and weekends, or $5 for Goalies.
Equipment Required: Helmet, gloves, ice skates, stick, 18 and under must wear full gear with a full face cage.
Youth Hockey Season
The youth hockey season is organized by Wichita Youth Hockey Association. The season runs from October to March. Information about WYHA is available at www.wyhajrthunder.com
