The Wichita Ice Center

The Wichita Ice Center has Olympic & NHL rinks, full-length viewing windows, meeting and banquet rental, concessions, party rooms, sport store, Learn To Skate programs, Learn to Play Hockey, Youth & Adult Hockey leagues, competitive and recreational Figure Skating Academy.

Our History

Built in 1996, the Wichita Ice Center filled the need for an ice rink in the Wichita, KS area. Several individual citizens and groups petitioned the city for such a rink, stating the need was felt community wide.

Since its inception, the facility has been a place for skating lessons, figure skating, hockey (youth and adult), leisure skating, and many other ice related sports and leisure activities.

The Wichita Ice Center cost approximately $8.3 million, most of which was the base building. Modifications approved by the City of Wichita Council added $1 million to the price tag.

A professional sized skating rink, an NHL sized hockey rink, a restaurant, administrative offices, locker rooms, a snack bar, a Pro Equipment Shop, and a 1,000-person spectator seating in the Olympic sized rink cover the core amenities offered by the Ice Center.

Pucks Sports Bar

Our very own  Pucks Sports Bar is located upstairs directly across from the health club at the Ice Center.

Pucks serves your favorite beers on tap, has a fully stocked bar and includes several large TVs for watching your favorite teams take on their rivals!

It’s the perfect place to unwind with friends after a workout, training session, or long day at work.
